This new policy describes broader recruitment methods allowable for research protocols, and the IRB’s role in reviewing and considering the appropriateness of the recruitment methods in regard to the target population and the research objectives.
PLEASE NOTE: This new policy has a staggered roll-out schedule. Only Radiology and Ophthalmology CRUs are permitted to use the new policy in March 2019. In April 2019, Anesthesiology, Medicine, CTSI and the Heart Center will be permitted to use the new policy.
